I’m Isabella Littleford—a dedicated style expert who’s spent years studying the balance of couture and comfort.
With over a decade immersed in the fashion industry, I’ve had the honor of sharpening my skills in Paris—the heart of haute couture and partnering with renowned design icons worldwide. Those years gave me a clear lens for spotting exceptional quality, innovative design, and timeless appeal. There’s something endlessly fascinating about Golden Goose sneakers, a brand that effortlessly marries a pre-worn character with refined construction and premium materials. Here, I’ll walk you through my thoughts on different Superstar models, exploring their design language, wearability, and wardrobe potential.
If you’re someone who lives for limited-edition sneakers or just wants a polished casual shoe, I’m here to guide you through it all with insights drawn from my years in the fashion trenches. Let’s dive into why Golden Goose sneakers deserve a spot in your lineup!
A few months back, I bought my first Golden Goose sneakers (and shared them first in this post!), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also had them long enough that I feel like I have a good grip on their quality, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll find explored in this post.
So I’m breaking down a bunch of frequently asked questions, as well as where to score deals on them, in the sections below! Where could someone find a pair like yours?
I spotted mine on sale via Cettire and bought them that way!
Placed my order on the 28th of April and they were delivered by the 30th, so the shipping was super fast and that’s a win in my book
How much do they run?
I snagged a pair for $385.43, though they usually go for around $513.91.
You can expect to pay between $410 and $1,700 depending on their uniqueness.
How does the sizing run?
Yes, they do run true to size, at least for me.
They haven’t stretched noticeably, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up a size
How comfy are they?
They required minimal break-in time..
How durable are they?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. Nothing has torn, and the structure feels strong. Thanks to the vintage look, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
How do they compare to other sneakers?
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose are just on another level. They include a built-in arch bump that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is unique. And the sparkle on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.
Would you recommend them?
Absolutely! Though I suggest looking for a deal. They’re expensive, so getting them with a promo is worth it. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you find a style that suits you. I chose a loud pair, but a neutral version would also look great.
Discount sources?
Here are the spots I found most reliable. I had a perfect experience with GGoose.org, so I suggest them first.
- GGoose.org – my go-to for these sneakers!
- Gilt – you can sign up for free!
- Vestiaire Collection – it also looks like they’re offering $50 off your APP first order of $150+ with code WELCOMEUS50
- The Real Real – great prices on new or almost new GG sneakers
- Ebay – tons of amazing steals on lightly used pairs of Golden Goose shoes
- @likeabandit – she highlights loads of Golden Goose deals on her Instagram stories, be on the lookout
Where did you buy them?
Cettire had them on sale and I clicked “buy” right away!

What’s the going rate?
I snagged a pair for $385.43, though they usually go for around $513.91.
These sneakers typically cost anywhere between $400 to nearly $1,700, depending on how embellished they are.
Are they true to size?
I’d say they fit just right, based on my pair. They haven’t stretched much, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up
Are they comfortable?
They felt good almost immediately. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since my feet get sweaty. Top-quality leather, so it’s much more pleasant than breaking in synthetic materials. Plus, they’re already broken-in so your feet just slide in.
How durable are they?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they still look great. The laces are intact, and the shape stayed solid.
Thanks to the vintage look, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
